Is the Mac server a physical machine or a virtual machine?
MacPng promises 100% dedicated original Apple physical hardware. You get full M4 chip CPU/GPU computing access without any performance loss from virtualization, perfectly suited for Xcode compilation and Metal graphics acceleration tasks.
Which macOS versions are supported?
We deliver the latest macOS Sequoia stable version by default. Downgrading to Sonoma or Ventura is also supported. For specific versions, please select on the configuration page after ordering or submit a technical ticket for assistance.
How does the Thunderbolt 5 parallel protocol work?
After purchasing parallel services, data center engineers will connect your multiple instances via physical Thunderbolt cables. This will be mapped in the system as an 80Gbps ultra-high-speed private internal network, greatly improving distributed compilation efficiency.
Is the allocated public IP fixed?
Yes. Each Mac Mini instance is allocated a dedicated static IPv4 address. During the lease, this IP belongs exclusively to you and will not change, making domain name resolution easy.
Are mainstream GPU renderers supported?
Perfectly supported. The M4 chip's 10-core GPU natively supports hardware-level ray tracing. You can smoothly run Octane X, Redshift (Metal), Blender, and other professional rendering suites that support Apple architecture.
Is the instance pre-installed with Xcode development tools?
We deliver a Vanilla clean system. You can download specific versions of Xcode through the Mac App Store based on your project needs. For large-scale pre-installation needs, please consult enterprise support.
How is data handled after the instance expires?
Upon service expiration, a DoD-level full-disk deep erasure process that meets international standards will be executed immediately to ensure trade secrets are irrecoverable. Please back up important data before expiration.
Which remote access methods are supported?
We provide multiple remote access methods: native support for SSH key authentication and encrypted VNC. We recommend using Apple's native "Screen Sharing" app for the best 60FPS rendering experience. Quick access via Web terminal is also supported, no extra software needed.
Can I upgrade the hardware memory during the lease?
Since it is a physical machine, the memory is integrated on-board and cannot be increased dynamically. If you need more memory, please purchase a new 24GB instance, and we will assist you with data migration.
